Hoymiles has recently introduced new hybrid inverters designed for residential photovoltaic (PV) systems. These inverters are available with a nominal power range spanning from 3.8 kW to 11.5 kW and offer an impressive efficiency rating of 97.6%.

China-based inverter manufacturer Hoymiles has unveiled a new series of single-phase hybrid inverters designed for residential solar. The HYS-LV-USG1 Series is versatile and can be used with both DC- and AC-coupled photovoltaic (PV) systems. Moreover, they support backup power in the range of 120 V to 240 V. These inverters also don’t require an external autotransformer.

Features of New Hybrid Inverters:

These new hybrid inverters come in various power ratings. They range from 3.8 kW to 11.5 kW, with an impressive efficiency of 97.6%. They also come with California Energy Commission (CEC) efficiency rating of 97.0% and offer a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) current of 32 A.

In terms of size and weight, the smallest model measures 502 mm × 615 mm × 202 mm and weighs 31 kg. However, the largest version measures 502 mm × 740 mm × 202 mm and weighs 41 kg. These new hybrid inverters have a wide MPPT voltage range. This mostly spans from about 125 V to 500 V and supports battery voltages in the range of 40 V to 60 V.

These hybrid inverters from Hoymiles are equipped with integrated arc fault protection and rapid shutdown features. They possess the capability to seamlessly switch between different power sources. This depends on factors such as energy production, pricing, and usage patterns.

By serving as a bridge between solar-generated electricity and grid power, these inverters not only enhance accessibility but also provide adaptability and reliability in energy supply. One notable advantage is their industry-leading DC/AC ratio of 1.5. This leads to reduced costs compared to systems of similar capacity that rely on alternative inverters.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, Hoymiles’ new series of hybrid inverters marks a significant advancement in residential photovoltaic technology. With power ratings ranging from 3.8 kW to 11.5 kW, these inverters are set to empower homeowners with more efficient and adaptable solar energy solutions. Hoymiles’ commitment to innovation in the renewable energy sector is a promising sign of continued progress towards sustainable energy solutions for residential users.
