The starting capacity of the new Enphase battery is 5kwh which can reach up to 80kWh in battery capacity. This battery can fulfill the power demands of most households by providing a continuous power output of 3.84 kW and a peak power capacity of 7.68 kW for three seconds.
Moreover, this new Enphase Energy System includes the IQ Battery 5P, IQ System Controller 3/3G, and IQ Combiner 5/5C. These components bring significant enhancements for both homeowners and installers. Improvements such as increased power output, more reliable wired communication, and an improved setup process are available to many consumers. Notably, the IQ Battery 5P comes with a 15-year limited warranty specifically for customers in the United States and Puerto Rico.

However, homeowners have the flexibility to add an IQ System Controller at any time to enable backup functionality. In California, installers can utilize Enphase’s Solargraf platform to design and generate system proposals that optimize for NEM 3.0. This ensures the system can offset the electricity bill completely and provide the most favorable payback period to the consumers.
